Throughout the month of June, we have been collecting cans of food to donate to St Vincent de Paul for their Winter Appeal. With the help of your donations (and a bit of healthy competition between classes), our St Kieran’s school community managed to collect 2231 cans! Thank you so much for your generosity and thoughtfulness over this time. As well as the donations of cans, we have been inundated with blankets and warm clothes to donate to St Vincent de Paul. Each of these items will be greatly appreciated by many families this winter and we thank you once again for your support with this initiative.
Last week, a note was sent home to all Stage 3 students in relation to the St Vincent de Paul Winter Sleep out. This is an opportunity for students of Stage 3 to ‘walk in the shoes’ of a homeless person- to experience what being homeless may feel like at night and at the same time, to raise funds to donate to St Vincent de Paul for the homeless.
