St Kieran’s is a TRP school.
This year we launched our partnership with The Resilience Project (TRP) to implement their School Wellbeing Program across St Kieran’s. This exciting initiative aims to teach and support positive wellbeing and mental health in the classroom and across our entire school community.
The Resilience Project curriculum is guided by the GEM+EL framework, which helps organise and develop lessons and learning sequences with clear learning objectives and consistent language, concepts and skills from Foundation to Year 12. This framework guides what students need to know, understand and do to adopt new behaviours, making it easier for them to explore new ideas, deepen their understanding and see how everything connects.
Students will explore Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness and Emotional Literacy through a central ‘big idea’, which guides their learning journey from Foundation to Year 12. Throughout the year, they’ll explore key themes that help unpack each big idea. These themes are interconnected, complementing each other in individual lessons and across the entire curriculum.
